    Announcements, Eugene

  * 1.5 M$ shortfall this year for Lab, will not come out of running time
  * Ed Folts is the new Physics Safety Officer, welcome to the Hall D
    meeting Ed!
      o TOSPs and OSP, past and future should go to Ed
  * budget for MIE (capital projects) has limit for new projects
    increased from 2 M$ to 5 M$, does not affect DIRC
      o DIRC budget starts this month
  * delay with magnet
      o water contamination in turbines of compressor[?]
      o will take 7-8 days to warm and clean, then 3 weeks of cool-down
      o magnet will not be ready at beginning of run


    Run Preparation Meeting, Alexandre

  * scheduled to run from Feb. 4 through April 13
  * will meet on Wed. at 9 am
      o wiki page set up in placeholder form
          + summary of last time
          + future goals
  * Alexandre will be RC until mid-March


    Calorimeters, Elton

  * BCAL in reasonable shape
      o will run at 5 degrees, down from 10 degrees
      o calibration: pi^0 widths comparable to previous run
      o one discriminator failed
      o LED pulser trigger through TS: need to develop analyzer[?]
  * FCAL
      o PMT problems (bases)
      o 90 replaced, ran with 10 problem PMTs
      o some run hot, not failing but not at optimal voltage
      o lots of spare dividers on hand
      o bad ones sent back to Indiana, Paul Smith fixing them
      o HV was adjusted based on Spring data
      o pi^0 widths broad still


    Chambers, Beni

  * generally OK
  * systems turned on
  * chiller: coolant filled, working


    Controls, Hovanes

  * preparing for next run
  * goniometer: will meet with Ken Livingston
      o 12 GeV this time, different from last time
      o want coherent edge at higher fraction of electron beam energy
      o signal at pair spectrometer (PS) after collimation not subject
        to overlapping peaks
      o will start with 50 micron diamond, 5 mm collimator
      o Ken will be here for a few weeks


    Physics Goals

  * Paul and Justin:
      o want as much time with diamond as possible for asymmetries
      o want parallel and perpendicular polarization
  * Eugene: need to measure beam flux, at least roughly
      o Sascha will look at PS normalization
      o TAC may be useful
      o Sascha: may change converter to get on of well-known thickness


    DAQ

  * Sergey: new CODA 3.05 working now, can get 40 MHz
  * Sascha on firmware:
      o Ed Jastrzembski found minor problem in F250 firmware, he will
        produce a new version
      o F1TDC has new version of firmware available for low resolution
  * polarimeter
      o Sascha found bad board, FADC in slot 4
      o Beni: electronics redesigned by Fernando


    Post Doc

  * offer out
