  Hall D Staff Meeting, October 3, 2016

Present: Alexander Austregesilo, Thomas Britton, Eugene Chudakov, Mark

    Announcements, Eugene

  * Introducing Thomas Britton, the new post-doc. Welcome!
  * Budget squeeze
      o until end of Oct.
      o all travel canceled except invited plenary talks and trips
        related to the run
      o ops money supposed to increase this year, but with continuing
        resolution monthly amount is the same as last year
      o purchasing restrictions: DIRC items postponed
  * Appraisal cycle is underway
  * interviews for new staff position complete, decision in two weeks


    Goniometer, Tim

  * due to arrive back on Oct. 17
  * detailed installation schedule TBD


    Run Plan, Alexandre

  * run planning meetings this week: Tue., Wed., Fri.
  * after that we go to daily meetings
  * accelerator status:
      o 1 or 2 days late
      o beam in machine schedule for Sun., did not make it
      o dogleg causing mismatch in transport parameters, other issues as
        well


    Engineering, Tim

  * HCO largely done
  * beamline vacuum almost there
  * items not done yet: goniometer and comp cal
  * bellows on goniometer pipe are on
  * collimator not in position yet


    DAQ, Sergey

  * problems with firmware seen for TI, TD, TS
  * TD fixed now
  * F250s not producing triggers
      o if no solution today, will downgrade firmware for BCAL F250s to
        Spring version


    Miscellaneous

  * Elton: radiators have come in from Canada
  * Beni: some channels of CDC missing, possible pre-amp disconnects,
    perhaps other problems
      o tool used to check CDC not working, TI connection problem
      o no new FDC problems
  * puddle in hall from water condensing on BCAL chilled water line,
    probably not a major issue
