    Safety Culture Survey, Steve

  * results of the latest survey were presented
  * survey conducted 2 months ago
  * already presented to the Director's Safety Council
  * questions were different this time
  * two big take-aways:
     1. schedule pressure has led to unsafe practices
     2. line management not supporting workers, not requiring worker
        accountability
  * see Steve's slides for all the details, including statistical
    breakdown of results


    Hall Status, Eugene

  * Tim sent in some items
  * DIRC frame due to appear in August
      o water purification system due to arrive at same time
  * magnet cooling starts mid-August
  * August 10, UPS battery replacement scheduled, allegedly non-disruptive
  * heater went off in the Hall, temperature dropped, recovered now
  * field in the permanent magnet in the tagger area checked, no change
  * budget extremely tight (operations)
      o for rest of FY, only spending to support upcoming run
  * GWU hiring new postdoc to be resident at JLab: Stuart Fegan


    Carbon Dioxide Switch-Over Valve, Lubomir

  * new valve not as good as the old
      o no manual switch-over capability
  * Josh did the last change over by manually re-plumbing the lines
  * old valve being readied to back into service


    Analysis Launches and Software, Paul

  * Alex A. reports that the reconstruction launch for Spring 2017 data
    is finished, including post-processing
      o 120 TB of REST data
      o 40 TB of coherent skim data
  * Analysis Launch being prepared
      o 40 channels
      o resulting trees about 40% of REST data volume
      o experimenting with cuts to reduce footprint
      o goal is to start Friday
  * Analysis Library software: improvements in speed, memory usage
      o still some memory leaks
      o if ready by Friday, will switch over to new library


    PAC, Eugene

  * JEF approved with no dedicated time, will run with GlueX
      o replacement of inner calorimeter needs to be scheduled
      o if central FCAL becomes damaged, new inner calorimeter a
        possible replacement
  * K_L : PAC wanted more coherent proposal with more detail
  * Nuclear targets: PAC wants to combine the proposals, not clear how
    to do that
  * PVPDF, Mark D.: question on quantifying improvement


    Run Readiness

  * David: new disk for DAQ system, bids due tomorrow
  * Hovanes: goni survey done, one axis a bit off
      o next: move to tagger hall, re-survey


    Hall B Ready-for-Science Review, Elton

  * Elton, David, and Beni Zihlmann on committee
  * convene just before run, end of September
  * internal review
