  Hall D Staff Meeting, March 6, 2017

    Announcements, Eugene

  * Budget briefing at DOE two weeks ago: they are interested in our
    operations plans but have no idea about the budget, even in period
    after current CR.
      o We should do reasonable procurements before the end of the
        current CR, April 28, while limited funds are available.
      o Promotions and raises are on hold.
  * With current run: please look at high-level signals
      o Alex A.: problem found with calibrations, may have to re-do
        monitoring launch.
      o Beni: need to treat the current data as precious since we do not
        know for sure when the next running will occur. If there are
        systematic studies that need to be done, make sure that they get
        scheduled.
      o Eugene: need TAC preliminary analysis
      o Sascha: need trigger studies
      o Lubomir: straight tracks scheduled for last day of run
      o Empty target recently taken, Simon sees no problems


    Run Plan

  * Eugene: tomorrow we should discuss high luminosity running
      o How much?
      o Low luminosity plan: same question
      o Sascha: need to decide on chamber voltages for high intensity
      o Lubomir: need good beam conditions to minimize beam halo,
        chamber currents


    Travel

  * Eugene reminded us of web page linked from Hall D secure page with
    known travel plans. Let him know if other opportunities arise.
