Eugene
* recent retirements: Larry Cardman and Glenn Young
o Larry: Associate Director for Physics for much of 6 GeV era
o Glenn: Instrumental in 12 GeV project, a friend of Hall D
* budget should be known soon
* platform for the DIRC has arrived
o water purification system arrived also
* magnet at 11 K
o one compressor is not working
o should be cold this week
David
* work on online database, indexed by time
o stores histograms and fits
Sergey
* restoring operation of the Hall DAQ system
Elton
* BCAL turn on today or tomorrow
* charged pion polarizability
o full scale prototype coming down, perhaps next week
o stage into EEL
o frame being constructed for forward carriage
o ESAD section written
o may compromise TAC run data quality
* analysis: new charged clusterizer for BCAL
o matching efficiency has gone down a few percent
o number of tracks has gone up
Simon
* working extrapolation of tracks to outer detectors
* cross sections: φ and ω
* looking at K_S for tracking systematics
* Eugene: resolutions may also be changing from run period to run period
Sascha
* firmware upgrade to FCAL crates, TIs and TDs
o after more testing with update everywhere
* working on 32 ns time shift with Ed Jastrzembski
* working on trigger simulation
o adding features, e. g., minimum ionizing particles in FCAL
* pair spectrometer with updated filed map in simulation
o TOSCA simulation from Sasha Glamazdin
o good agreement in shape with TAC data
* working on energy calibration scale for pair spectrometer
o reconstruction work
o look at TAC runs
o normalization looks good
Mark I.
* planning for new work disk, non-Lustre, need to shrink footprint
from 77 TB to 45 TB
* supporting various builds of various builds of GlueX software
* understanding how to work with containers for OSG jobs
Mark D.
* BCAL work
* looking a new charged clusterizer
o inclusion of more energy may be degrading position precision
Beni
* luminosity with PS: confirms Justin conclusion that amorphous runs
scale with each other
o TAC to PS ratio flat
o different radiators do not show differences
o avoiding beam charge and current measures
* integral non-linearity in CAEN TDCs
o revisiting analysis
o results not as good as expected
o constants do remove the effect, seen in groups of 8
* TOF matching efficiency
o not good near beam hole, nominal 90% drops to 70%
o low luminosity runs show no such degradation
Alex A.
* running many launches these days
* starting monthly analysis launches
o one started last Friday almost done
* re-reconstruction of 17 data will be done for both halves\
o should take about a month
* collecting raw yields for '16 and '17, ρ, ω, and φ for normalization
studies
o energy dependence seen
Thomas
* contributing to cross section studies
* started looking at baryon sector in K^+ K^- p
* HDvis: upgrade to a usable product
o interviewing detector groups on what they want to see
o orthographic view working
o optimization work: factor of 3-5
Hovanes
* working on TAC monitoring
o added classes for JANA
o wrote ROOTSys plug-in
o address problems seen in previous runs
o online version calculating ration TAC to PS
* FDC low-voltage needs re-design
o new threshold scheme
o will have separate IOC for FDC
* goniometer: added V-shaped 2 wires for TAC running
o 10^-6 X_) with wires 1 sigma from beam center
o encoder on x-stage missing course pulse sometimes
* working with Ben Raydo on gamma profiler
o implement coincidence of x and y plane at low beam intensity
o VXS TDC replaces scalers
Lubomir
* J/ψ analysis: remove timing-challenged portions of FCAL
o φ, J/ψ, Bethe-Heitler yields better than before
o still low intensity '17 data factor of two below '16 data
o writing analysis note
* FDC: preparing for run
o LV, chiller on
* Beni: CDC will be turned on soon
Alexandre
* working on review of nucleon structure

* beam energy monitoring
o meeting this week to discuss version
* gas target for TAC: next run
* PRAD target for TAC runs
o discussed with Chris Keith
o 2 mm hole to small, need 1 cm
* Eugene: ARM policy changed: ARM cannot do full survey
o only RadCon can do it
o may not be available weekends and evenings unless pre-planned
* Eugene: run in December is short
o proposals should be made for tests to do
Paul
* new analysis library checked into the master branch
o this analysis launch using it
