  * Appraisal cycle (Eugene)
      o will discuss ratings with staff before ratings are given as per
        HR recommendation
      o ratings not final, subject to calibration
      o ratings above three require written justification from Eugene
  * Schedule (Eugene)
      o 2018: 55 days in Fall run
      o Spring 2019: 54 days for PrimEx, 14 days for DIRC commissioning
      o Fall 2019: 49 days, GlueX II
      o Spring 2020: 78 days
      o CHL upgrade in 2020 for 6 months
  * Budget (Eugene)
      o operations budget good
      o research budget some shrinkage: trips, guests, 2 postdocs
        (shared with universities)
  * Long Term Projects (Eugene)
      o DIRC $2M finished
          + PMTs, optical box, transportation
      o FCAL upgrade next
          + 1000 crystals with PMTs (from grant?)
          + also electronics, HV, frame
          + buy electronics early, along with some crystals if needed
          + postpone off-the-shelf items
          + installation in 2023
          + various prices quoted, $860 (Liping), $1200 (Rolf), $1800
            (former Russian company)
          + purchase from Shanghai Ceramic Institute: need local liaison
              # batch to Hall C high rejection rate, did not use big oven
      o Platform modifications for CPP
  * Director calling for meeting on Nov. 28 for supervisors
  * Spare crystals (Beni)
      o Eugene: should have some for Fall
      o 1.2 mm wafer, sliced into 3, $2,500
  * If there are other needed purchases, let Eugene know.
