Alarms, Tim
The refrigerator for the solenoid had a compressor trip yesterday. The
reservoir tank was emptied before the problem was fixed, about a 4 hour
turn-around.
Lab Re-Opening, Eugene
* email was sent to the group with a link to the Hall D safety page
with guidance on our plans
o SAF003 needs to be taken and passed
o Details of daily self-certification are not clear. Tim quoted
from the OSP: supervisors need to approve self-certification
o lists of personnel linked on the page, lists sorted by category:
+ immediate arrival
+ tier 1
+ tier 2
+ tier 3
+ tier 4
* New OSP:
o Tim: probably need to read and sign in counting house
o site-wide document
* Hall D plan
o Tim has document involving mainly technical staff
o Sergey will check-out online computers in person in counting room
o Tier 1 tasks: energize hall utility systems, HVAC
o Tier 2 tasks: turn on crates
o Tier 3 tasks: complete hot check-out
o detector groups should send in procedures to Eugene and Tim as
appropriate
o possible plan: have daily meetings at 4 pm to plan work for the
next day
o number of people in Hall, counting room, limited
o foot traffic along paths to avoid collisions of personnel, in
and out of counting house, in and out of Hall
* Hovanes needs desktop computer turned on, Eugene will contact Walt Akers
* Physics Department plan
o 6 ft. distance rule in effect
o Hall D has not applied for PPE
o self-supplied cloth masks required
+ in fact, now required in public indoor spaces by Governor's
executive order in Virginia
* start of run target date: mid-July
o six week run
o unlikely to run into next fiscal year
* Please read documents, take the training
PAC preparations
* SRC proponents have responded to committee issues
Detector Maintenance and Calibration
* Colin Gleason leaving IU, FCAL maintenance needs to get transferred
o leaving at end of August
o new IU post-doc will not have overlap with Colin
o Mark Dalton will manage transition should one occur
o Hall D group may have to take responsibility for calibration and
maintenance
* Hall D group may have to take over other systems as well.
* Rolf Ent may be willing to upgrade FCAL to replace Cockcroft-Walton
bases
o Many issues to resolve first, no easy technical solution
