  Hall D Staff Meeting, January 11, 2021

Present: Alexander Austregesilo, Fernando Barbosa, Eugene Chudakov

    Announcements, Eugene

  * Budget
      o flat for next 2 years
      o NP budget will be tight
      o EIC: request = 45 M$, actual = 30 M$
  * CEBAF: issue with C75 cavities resolved
  * Electrical training
      o technical staff will take 7 session course plus practical exam
      o all the guys will do this
  * foreign connection disclosures: please complete if not done already
  * plan developed for paying tariffs on crystals
  * KLF will get funds in FY22 for design work
  * GlueX hybrid program review
      o tentatively in Mark
      o closed review
      o external reviewers will participate
  * next PAC schedule for middle of July


    Near Term Plans, Tim

  * DIRC items on front burner
      o list posted in counting house
  * downstream platform work for CPP
      o working on getting drawings for mods out


    CPP Readiness

  * Patrizia asked about schedule
  * Eugene:
      o group needs 3 weeks to prepare
      o probably February, earlier the better
      o schedule for next year soon to be released
          + CPP, PrimEx (finish), then GlueX


    Tapes and Processing

  * Mark:
      o files have not come back from IBM
      o a checksum test will be performed on all files written to LTO-08
        media
      o LTO-M08 appears to be OK
      o all raw data files will be retrieved from duplicate tapes
        without waiting for recovery info from IBM
  * Alex A.:
      o Spring 2020 data
          + some REST missing
          + fully validated
      o Summer 2020 data
          + some calibration skims missing


    Conferences

  * approval easier with reduced cost to attend virtual events
  * Patrizia: TA still needs to be opened to pay for registration fees


    New Hire

  * under review
