  Hall D Staff Meeting, November 29, 2021

Present: Alexander Austregesilo, Eugene Chudakov (chair), Mark Dalton, 
Alexandre Deur, Hovanes Egiyan, Sergey Furletov, Mark Ito, Igal Jaegle, 
Keigo Mizutani, Lubomir Pentchev, Patrizia Rossi, Sascha Somov, Simon 
Taylor, Tim Whitlatch, Beni Zihlmann


    Announcements, Eugene

  * Holiday break will be Dec. 23 to Jan. 1. Staff are required to take
    part of it as vacation.
  * No federal budget as of 11/16. We continue on a continuing resolution
  * Appraisals have been finished and sent to management. calibration is
    next.
  * there will be a software review, Dec. 16 and 17. Mark I. is
    organizing preparations.


    Extension of SRC Run, Eugene

  * Javier Gomez sent a message last night about a possible extension
    beyond Dec. 6
  * SRC spokespeople endorse the idea
  * Eugene has surveyed Hall D staff about their availability during the
    extension
  * Sascha: at SRC meeting decision was to not rely on Hall D Staff for
    shifts during an extension. Local SRC collaborators will take them.
    New shift schedule should come out in a couple of days
  * Lubomir: need to insure that we have enough expert coverage to
    handle problems
  * There will be time for a CPP TOF trigger test
      o Sascha: running flux a factor of 1.7 down from that of the
        proposal due to lower energy of electron beam
  * Detector tests will continue
  * Sascha: during extension, one week of carbon, then LHe
  * Patrizia: no news on timeline for extension decision
      o if granted, will need to renew Readiness Certificate, review
        whether RSAD needs modification


    Conversion from BlueJeans to Zoom, Eugene

  * reason for change unclear
  * Mark I.: BlueJeans contract terminates near end of Jan. Zoom roll
    out scheduled for Dec.
  * Beni: Polycom compatibility with Zoom an issue
  * Mark I. volunteered to coordinate transition for the group.


    Travel to Williamsburg, Virginia, Alex

  * Justin Stevens organizing an in-person workshop on amplitude
    analysis at W&M
  * Are staff allowed to travel there? Answer not known at present.
