  Hall D Staff Meeting, January 24, 2022

Present: Alexander Austregesilo, Eugene Chudakov (chair), Mark Dalton, 
Alexandre Deur, Hovanes Egiyan, Mark Ito, Igal Jaegle, Keigo Mizutani, 
Lubomir Pentchev, Patrizia Rossi, Sascha Somov, Simon Taylor, Tim 
Whitlatch, Beni Zihlmann


    Announcements, Eugene

  * David Dean is the new Deputy Director for Science at the Lab
  * We are still on a continuing resolution. Some large procurements may
    have to be delayed.


    Work in the Hall, Tim

  * Will start bringing CPP stand pieces into the Hall. Also chambers
    will start to move. CPP rails have been grouted in.
  * Solenoid is warming up. It's at 65 K now.


    FDC Gas Flow, Lubomir

  * There appears to be clogging at the input of the first package
    affecting two layers.
  * Flow reversal was tried with little effect.
  * Next step: replace the mass flow controller and re-evaluate situation


    CPP Trigger, Sascha

  * ready to load new firmware
  * crate discussion had with Sergey F.
  * will do cosmic tests perhaps
  * will try playback method perhaps
  * working step-by-step


    New Requirement on Face Masks, Beni

  * Beni asked about the requirement
  * N95's ok, KN95's and surgical masks OK as well
  * surgical masks available in the stockroom, counting house, and CEBAF
    Center


    Diamonds for CPP, Hovanes

  * Richard reported on tests of uncut crystals at the Canadian light source
  * No new crystals for CPP
