  Hall D Staff Meeting, January 10, 2022

Present: Alexander Austregesilo, Eugene Chudakov (chair), Alexandre 
Deur, Hovanes Egiyan, Sergey Furletov, Mark Ito, Igal Jaegle, Keigo 
Mizutani, Lubomir Pentchev, Sascha Somov, Simon Taylor, Beni Zihlmann


    Plans for the Hall, Eugene

  * CPP installation this week, tower going in
  * CompCal will be removed
  * Wed. power will be off in the Hall. Coordinate any work with Mark
    Stevens
  * Solenoid at 80 K, no out gassing so far
  * Richard Jones and James McIntyre are on-site to relocate the
    microscope for CPP
      o Sascha: don't break the hodoscope while moving the microscope!
  * Sascha would like some time this week to test the new TOF trigger
    firmware


    Diamonds, Eugene

  * Richard does not have an known, good diamonds ready to go for CPP
  * He has looked at three 1.2 mm thick samples at the light source
      o Those need to be split and ground down to 50 microns
      o The process has a 20% yield
  * Alexandre thought that JD70-103, 107, or 109 might be usable.
    Hovanes was skeptical
  * Alexandre will discuss the situation further with Richard
