[Halld-level1] [New Logentry] First trigger tests in spring 2017

We eventually got beam and started doing some trigger
tests. We managed to run the trigger configuration 
from the previous run (fall of 2016). The detector
performance looks Ok (data quality should be checked)

Run conditions:

3x10-4 amorphous radiator, 5 mm collimator, 200 nA 
electron beam current. The PS rate was about 1.3 kHz, 
should correspond to the photon flux of about 
1.5 - 2 x 10^7 photons/sec in the coherent peak (very 
crude estimates, to be checked)


The total trigger rate - 47 kHz, DAQ L.T. 97 %, the total 
data rate from the detector about 750 Mb/sec 

run 30218 (production mode, about 130 M events)

The trigger/DAQ performance at this was rather stable
(Fig 1,2,3), except for some 'periodic DAQ problems
presumably associated with writing to disc, see 
Fig. 4 and Fig 5.

Switching to the compressed readout mode for fadc250 and fadc125
reduced the data rate from the detector (for this trigger 
type/rate) to ~ 500 Mb/sec (by more that  20 %)

run 30222 (production mode, compressed format)


We have observed some DAQ features:
- The system hangs at download from time to time 
(crates don't hold the transition, presumably some scripts are running)

- Runs are written to wrong directories
