I am not sure which change that refers to, but yesterday I checked in a
change to HDGeant that fits this description. The current setting in the
database is close to 250 MHz, not 500 MHz. This is what I see when I run
hdgeant with a RUNNO set to a number in the current range, eg 2933:

 settofg: beam_bucket_period_ns set to    4.0080161
