Dear Calibrators,
There have been a lot of changes to the software over the summer, notably
the move to ROOT 6, so to ensure that we can quickly get back to producing
quality physics data, we will review the status of calibration software in
the Working Group meeting next Wednesday. As I've mentioned before some of
the macros in sim-recon appear to have problems when running under ROOT 6.
You can find lists of the current procedures at one of the following wiki
pages:
https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Calibration_Train#Calibration_run_plan
https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Calibration-Monitoring#Procedures
If your name is listed there, please be ready to give a very brief report
on the status of your procedure, particularly if it gives consistent
results when running over data from the spring run.
If you aren't using ROOT 6 yet, the current default JLab software
configuration gives a good starting point:
/group/halld/www/halldweb/html/dist/version_jlab.xml
For most procedures, there exist ROOT files where the plugins were run over
10 files from 2 runs, which can be used for testing:
/work/halld/home/gxproj3/calib_check/output:
hd_Run011366.root
hd_Run011367.root
Let me know if you have any questions or if any of this information should
be updated.
Cheers,
Sean
