Old CentOS 6 system ifarm11101  is no longer in production; software and
services were frozen with the farm upgrade to CentOS 7, and so no longer
updated, as of the farm16 addition.

Access to github is blocked for https on ifarm1101. There used to be a
hole in the firewall, but that seems to have closed. It is blocked
whether or not a proxy is used. FWIW, my proxy definitions are:

Here is an example of the error:

On the other hand, ifarm1401 does not have the problem. A proxy is not
even needed there:
