[Halld-offline] work disk file server reboot: Fri. Jan. 24, circa 3 pm

Folks,

In the heat of battle I did not announce this, but we had to reboot the 
work file server again last Friday at around 3 pm for about half an 
hour. The file-locking problem had returned and the reboot solved it 
(again). We now suspect that the locking problem is caused by hitting 
the maximum open file limit on the work disk (currently set at 5 
million, which naively seems generous enough). That had happened on 
Thursday. If you experienced difficulties Friday, they may have been due 
to the presence of the problem before the reboot, or an attempt to 
access the work disk during the resulting down time.
