[Halld-offline] Central Fileserver changes and impact to DB servers

Colleagues,

Online gluon computers run many servers and applications that start automatically in various ways and this prevents unmounting of remote resources. Tests on gluonraid3 have shown that reboot would be easier, and therefore safer.
So tomorrow (Nov 17) from 18:00 to 20:00 all gluon computers in the counting room will be rebooted.
Please stop your tasks in advance to save data.
In case something goes wrong, it may take longer to bring the farm back.

I suppose it would be enough to stop the automount and make sure they are not mounted on Nov 17
before 18:00. There is no need to reboot (if you have the privilege to mount).

Read down the page a bit if you mount /site and/or /apps on your desktop machine at JLab. You may have to reboot it if CNI does not do a reboot for you.
