      Announcements

Today, pull request tests have been failing due to a missing RPM on
sandd1.jlab.org, where the tests run. hdgeant4 could not find one of its
shared libraries. Mark submitted a request to have the
boost-python36-devel package installed.

Review of minutes from the last meeting

We went over the minutes from the meeting on August 10
<https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/HDGeant4_Meeting,_August_10,_2021#Minutes>.
We discussed Issue #181
<https://github.com/JeffersonLab/HDGeant4/issues/181>: G3/G4 Difference
in FDC wire efficiency at the cell boundary. Alex has posted his
efficiency measurement on bggen events. Using an old version of the
reconstruction code, he shows a similar difference in efficiency when
compared to simulated ρ events as Richard showed with modern
reconstruction.

We came to the conclusion that further investigation was getting into
the region of diminishing marginal returns and the changes already made
to mcsmear are a bit advance over what we had before. Alex will close
this issue. If further investigation turns out to be necessary, the
issue can be re-raised for the halld_sim repository.
