Even worse is that Marty just showed me how to do it from off site, and 
I wrote the instructions 10 mins later.  Am I getting Alzheimer's, or what?

Elliott,

Your instructions are incorrect... When a user first visits the page:

1. they do NOT login
2. They click on the Signup for account link
3. They'll be sent to a page asking for their username (must match their CUE
username) and email address
4. After submitting the page, they'll be sent an email with a validation
link.
5. When they click on the validation link, they'll be logged in for this
initial session.
6. When they subsequently return to the site, they will then need their CUE
username/password.

Elliott,

It refuses my login jonesrt.  Used copy/paste of pw from same buffer to 
both ssh login and web page to be sure no typo errors, and ssh login 
works but mantis web page fails.  Tried on both firefox and ie, same result.
