[Halld-online] [New Logentry] Monitoring performance mystery solved!

It was noticed that since yesterday at some point the performance of the monitoring farm was suppressed significantly relative to what it had been during this run. This issue turned out to be the insidious environment variable MALLOC_ARENA_MAX getting set to one in the CDAQ/daq_dev_v0.31/work/online_setup.cshrc script. This environment variable was apparently forged in the fires of Mordor and carries with it the ability to bring the entire farm to its knees. It has been vanquished for now but all are warned to remain vigilant lest it return to bring darkness upon all of Hall-D once more.
