Hi all,
At first glance it doesn't seem like it would be a big deal having some of them 1/8" shorter if we can divide it on each end. The true test is when we will actually see the results when the mini TOF is assembled. This is what I suggest for piece of mind. Lets see how it works on the mini TOF as far as the outcome in regards to the light guide holders, etc.
Chuck

Dear Tim & Chuck,
The manufacturer of the TOF scintillator bars is asking if we can get by with about a dozen of the long bars which are shorter by an 1/8".
I briefly discussed this with Ian Winger and Randal Smith at FSU, and since this would amount to 1/16" short on each side, it does not seem like a problem. I would like JLab confirmation and approval(or not) before responding. Do we have the flexibility in the TOF frame design to accommodate there request? Or should we insist on receiving the specification length?

Hello Paul,
On the 76 ea. 254cm bars, how critical is your length? We have about 9-12 pieces that are approx. 0.125" too short. Can you use them?
Regards,
Chris
