Hello Fernando and Tim
During the installation meeting there was a discussion of the signal cables from the microscope to the electronic racks in the tagger hall. We are now finalizing the layout of the tagger microscope readout, and would like to verify that the cable routes and plans for cable trays in the tagger hall are compatible with our drawings.
Also, we need to discuss what happens when we need to move the microscope from its nominal position at 9GeV on the focal plane to 6GeV (for the pion polarizability measurement) and possibly elsewhere. Is it planned to make the electronics racks for the microscope mobile (eg. on castors) so that they can move along with the microscope? Are there plans to have cable trays for these signal cables, or do they just lie on the floor? If trays, will the trays be movable?
It would be helpful to have a floor plan of the tagger building available during our biweekly meeting on Monday, so we can see what the limits will be, given the lengths of signal cables that already exist. I think these cables have already been made?
