[Halld-tagger] [EXTERNAL] beamline meeting on Monday cancelled

Hi All,

 The pair spec power supply is believed to have a partial blockage in one of the water cooling paths causing a local temperature rise to 140F (which trips the power supply). The power supply is scheduled to have a citric acid flush Jan 3.

Hello Beamers,

In view of the end of the run, and that in the end none of the planned work related to the beam got done, I propose that we skip Monday's meeting, and wait until after the new year to meet again. Issues related to beamline hardware that have been discussed over the past couple of weeks include

  *   ability to run hysteresis loop on the PS magnet
  *   ability to read out the TPOL at high rate, decreasing the width of the readout window

On issue #1, I don't see how our group can contribute much, this is a magnet power supply and cooling problem. I assume this is in good hands. On issue #2, I would like to ask if Michael and Sasha can hammer out an agreement on this between them, and get back telling us what they have decided. If there are other things to discuss before the new year, please raise them on this list by email.
