[Halld-tagger] [EXTERNAL] photon beam working group update

Hello All,

Today at 3:00pm would be the time for our biweekly photon beam working
group meeting. I would prefer to share my updates via email this week, and
hope that others with something to share will do the same.

   1. Mark Dalton points our attention to an interesting paper recently
   published on the use of machine learning to enhance the ability to tag
   events in a tagged beam experiment. I have not yet read the paper, but it

   2. Work at UConn on using ML to improve the timing calibration of the
   TAGM continues, no results to report as of this moment;
   3. Analysis of the results from the June 14-18 run at the Saskatoon
   X-ray source is ongoing at UConn, no results yet to report, but the data
   look very encouraging so far.
   4. Work on the high-intensity photon source for the KLong experiment is
   progressing, discussion is taking place in a weekly meetings dedicated to
   the CPS;

If anyone has something fresh to present to the group today, please
reply-all so we can plan to meet at 3:00. If nothing is heard on this
channel before 12:00 today, let's cancel this week's meeting.
