Here's a link to the pulse tube refrigerator's manual:
http://www.cryomech.com/CRYOREFRIGERATORS/NEW%20Model%20PT415%20Manual%2011-06-06.pdf
I haven't read it all, but here are some notes:
The compressor requires 460VAC 3 phase, 20 Amp. It weighs about 460
lbs. Dimensions: 24 x 23 x 36 in.
Cooling water is nominally 3 gpm at 80F.
The refrigerator weighs 55 pounds. Overall height is about 30 inches.
It has a 7.35" diameter vacuum flange.
The first stage cold head is 5.1" in diameter and has a 4.75" bolt
circle (M5 screws). It can support 22 pounds.
The second stage cold head is 3.7" in diameter and has a 3.4" bolt
circle (M5 screws). It can support 11 pounds.
> An unloaded PT415 Cryorefrigerator with no additional mass on the heat
> exchangers will cool down to 4K in approximately 60 minutes. When
> additional mass is attached to either stage, the cool down time will
> increase.
> In general a minimum no-load 1st stage temperature of approximately
> 32K and a 2nd stage temperature of 2.8K should be attained. These
> temperatures will vary depending on the quality of the vacuum, the
> quality of the super-insulation, and the heat load brought in by the
> instrumentation leads.
The compressor has both a serial port and a digital I/O port for remote
monitoring and control.
> RS232/488 Port
> The RS232/488 port can be used to remotely monitor and control the
> compressor system as well as access all stored data.
> System I/O Port
> The 15 pin digital I/O connector, with selected input controls and
> relay outputs, provides limited monitoring and control of the
> compressor system.
