Dear Collaborators,

We are getting close to the end of the Fall 2014 commissioning period. The first part, prior to thanksgiving, has been very successful. The smooth commissioning leading to achieving the Key Performance parameters goals. We have now achieved most of the post-thanksgiving runplan aimed in particular at improving and understanding the DAQ and setting up the triggers. The post-thanksgiving runplan including the progress status can be found at:

https://hdops.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Post-thanksgiving_period#Post-thanksgiving_period

Other tasks included doing the calibration of the active collimator at higher luminosity, systematic studies of the detectors, checking detector performances at higher luminosity, run on the 3.4mm collimator, take B=0 FDC/TOF alignment data and gather more statistics on BCal and FCal. There are still a few tasks that need to be done. They should be achieved in the remaining few days of beam.

The last day of beam this year will be dedicated to beam studies. There will be no need to man the counting room. Consequently, shifts are cancelled, starting Sunday 21st at 8am.

Thank you,

Alexandre Deur, Hall D Run Coordinator.
