Dear Collaborators,

As you know, accelerator is presently able to operate only hall A since its program requires 5-pass beam and because part of the RF separators has been dismounted for repair.
Since last Wednesday (Nov. 23rd) the accelerator has been running well, with about 104h of usable beam delivered to Hall A (as of now, Nov. 29th, 9am). This is a 77% delivery efficiency. The repair of the RF separator is also proceeding well. The leak location has been identified and the faulty hardware has been replaced. These RF cavities are now under power and being tested, and the expert estimates they could be ready in a couple of days. Installation would take another day and re-commissioning may take a shift. However, whether the separation cavities should be re-installed now or not has not been discussed yet by the management. We expect this discussion to happen in the upcoming days. Thus, while the current plan is still to run Hall A alone, the good performance or the accelerator and the repair of the RF separator are hopeful news for GlueX.

The shift schedule is now the following:

Shifts are cancelled until Friday, Dec. 2nd, 8am.
Next shifts are on Standby until Monday, Dec. 5th, 8am.
Next shifts remains regular shifts.

I will update you of any new development.

Thank you,

Alexandre Deur, Hall D Run Coordinator.
