[Halld] Cooling outage for Hall D on Monday

The water cooling tower which serves the Hall D (including the cryo
plant) has developed a problem. The repair is tentatively schedule for
Monday. It may take several hours and there will be no cooling water
for the hall and for the AC system. Meanwhile, the water is flowing,
but it is unclear at what temperature. It seems that the AC cooling
capacity is reduced.

For the outage time on Monday we have to turn off the high power
equipment including the electronics crates and the
chillers. Currently, we are taking cosmics data and running various
tests, but we may need to turn off the stuff early if the the hall
starts heating up due to a reduced AC capacity.


Beni Zihlmann is coordinating the electronics/detector equipment
off/on operations. Mark Stevens is the hall work coordinator.
