[Halld] Hall D start run/shifts status. No RC meeting today

Dear Collaborators,

Accelerator has encountered several problems that prevented beam delivery so far. The plan is now to establish beam in Hall C (4 pass is easier than 5.5 pass) in order to check if any problem arises when switching from tune beam to CW beam. This is expected to take a shift. Once CW beam has been tested in Hall C, accelerator will resume Hall D tuning. Consequently, the soonest we can expect beam is during today's swing shift. Thus,

* Today's (Saturday 08/24/2018) shifts are on standby until 4pm. (The target has been emptied to allow for standby shifts.)

* We (re)start regular shifts at 4pm.

If your shifts are on standby and you have not already done so, please email me and the PDL (zihlmann at jlab.org) your contact (phone) number in case you need to be called to shift.

There will be no RC meeting today. We will decide later today if we have a meeting tomorrow (Sunday), depending on the progress on beam delivery.
