Subject: (some of) EEL-126 to be emptied


Dear Steve, Thia, Eugene, Drew,


in an effort to (finally) clean up EEL-126 a bit with Facilities, BEFORE the summer students

arrive, we want the "central area" of EEL-126 emptied out. The plan is as follows:

1) have some of your staff go into the central area of EEL-126 (i.e., not the area where

    the calorimeter blocks are) and mark what needs to be kept

2) everything else will be thrashed end of next week

3) after May 3rd, we start emptying out that area of EEL-126

4) Facilities will then remove the chemical cabinet/exhaust, and do the floor and have

     the walls painted

5) Walt will make a floor plan with multiple locked cabinets and works spaces along the

    walls, with central areas for larger projects.


Then, before the end of May we will have a workable space for the Summer period.


Don't make it too difficult on yourself, but it would be great if you could have the

relevant staff who owns items in the central area of EEL-126 walk around with Walt

and mark what needs to be kept. This should not take much of people's time. And

whatever is not marked/the rest will go.
