<p>A public service announcement from your friendly run coordinator:</p><p>Got my first middle of the night call in more than a week of run coordinator. Incoming shift leader's badge did not work at the gate despite being told earlier yesterday that it should work.</p><p><strong>Folks, if you haven't been on site in a while always make a trip past the gate during working hours before your shift. I do this even if the last trip was just a few weeks ago.</strong></p><p>Nowadays, only JLab staff can escort users with inactive badge on site. However, they would have to stay with them all the time. So, if the 2nd shift crew is remote or another user escorting is really not an option.</p><p>While I am sitting sitting here in the counting house, taking an unplanned night shift, I am looking forward to the beer a cerntain someone owes me now  ;-)</p>
