Dear Colleague,

The Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) program is now 
open for applications. As a National Laboratory/Facility Scientist this 
is a great opportunity for you to have an advanced graduate student 
working with you in your laboratory at no cost to your research program. 
The Office of Science’s Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and 
Scientists provides a stipend and transportation costs so that a 
graduate student can work for 3 – 12 months in a research project in 
collaboration with a National Laboratory/Facility Scientist like yourself.

Working with a graduate student through the SCGSR program in your lab 
gives you also the opportunity to test potential candidates for future 
postdoctoral opportunities you may have.

present your research at a conference, you have the opportunity to 
invite colleagues and students for establishing potential collaborations 
through this program. Please find attached a sample slide that you could 
use in a talk in case you would like to invite potential collaborators 
to take advantage of this program, please feel free to use it if you want.

National Lab/Facility Scientists who have expressed interest in 
participating in the SCGSR program
