[Halld] [New Logentry] Hall D shifts canceled this weekend

On Saturday during the Day shift one of the magnets used for beam delivery to Hall D started overheating and had to be turned off. While Hall D could not get beam in these conditions, the other three halls continued receiving beam because this magnet does not affect beam delivery to the other halls. Diagnosing and repairing the magnet would interrupt beam to other halls, therefore the lab management decided to postpone repairs of the magnet until Monday when all experts will be available to work on it. 

As a result, all Hall D shifts are canceled until 4am on Monday,  February 6th. The Expert and Worker Early Riser shifts at 4am on Monday, February 6th are now on standby. The Expert and Worker Day shifts starting at 10am on Monday, February 6th, need to report to the counting house as scheduled. 

Hall D will stay locked with LH2 target in empty state and the solenoid magnet energized. Meanwhile, if you need to access the main hall or tagger hall, please contact Hall D Run Coordinator.  

I will send updates about the shift schedule as I get more information from the PD about the status of the accelerator.
