[Hps-controls] HPS controls meeting on Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Hovanes,

I spent all night in the counting room and not sure will make to your 
meeting,
but I have two very serious issues that want to be discussed, urgently. 
This is
2H02A harp and harp fitter.
2H02 fails to write the file quite often. We thought it is related to 
IOC and were
trying to restore writing of the file with IOC reboots. But last night 
after several
runs and reboots, I realized that it is almost random. Reboot or not, it 
may write
the file after several scans. Considering that scan takes 10 minutes, 
this is a lot
of beam time lost.
The second issue is with fitting of the scan results. The fitters fails 
very often,
especially when background on the halo counters is high.

Considering that we will be on-and-off very often and will set the beam 
every
night running many-many harp sscans (including 2H02), and will have high
backgrounds in our halo counters, these both issues are very serious. 
They need
to resolved.
