Dear HPS

Over the next few days you will receive emails informing you that you have been added to the HPS shift interface as a shift taker.
The interface and database are new clones of the current CLAS version (which currently lies in suspended animation since the last CLAS run period) and requires substantial removal of mothballs, striping down, debugging and stress testing.
The emails you will receive are part of the above in terms of authenticating users etc and necessary for me to track the process. Apologies in advance.
What should you do when you receive and email?
1) ignore it
2) further to point 1, please DO NOT attempt to login to the interface irrespective of any credentials contained in the email(s)

Institute representatives should be aware that emails to your "local" members will appear as having come from you. This is to be expected since I will be each of you during the process.

In due course once the interface is live, I will inform the collaboration to put it to the test.

If for any reason the emails become too much for you, drop an email to hpsshiftbot at jlab.org and I will find another way. They will be kept to an absolute minimum.

Cheers
Bryan (hpsshiftbot)
