Hi all,
Jia Liu, Neal Weiner, and Wei Xue just put out a paper on using light
dark-photon models to explain the galactic-center gamma-ray excess.
http://arxiv.org/abs/1412.1485
I have only just glanced at it, but the punchlines seem to be:
- GeV-scale dark-sector models can fit the GC excess spectrum very well
- there is a stringent constraint from AMS-2 on DM annihilation to A' A' ->
2e+2e-, which excludes simple sub-GeV dark photon scenarios but allows
either annihilation to heavier dark photons (~1.5 GeV) or annihilation
that's dominated by dark-sector scalars rather than dark photons.
Best regards,
Natalia
