Hello,
Following on John's remark yesterday that the resolution on 2-cluster energy sum was smaller than the resolution on the elastic events, the appended calculation shows that this is indeed the case when the constant term in the resolution dominates over the 1/E term. A significant contribution to the constant term could come from the crystal intercalibration (relative gains), which at the present stage might be the case.
Regards,
Michel.
