Either way is fine by me.

I've already started looking at some of the canonical output. My thanks to Tongtong as well, for getting this done in a timely fashion.

Norman

Hi Matt,

I'm fine with your proposed schedule.

Norman, samples are now available (thanks TongTong!) so please start the validation process now. This will allow us to get started on Monday instead of delaying by a day.

Best,

Instead of sliding things forward a day, I would suggest adding a day on the end (Tuesday-Thursday). That gives us some time on Monday to make sure the data samples are OK, etc.

I, for one, could also start at 7AM PDT...

Hi All,

So this is coming up next week and I’d like to make one suggestion.

Suggestion: instead of doing 2 full days, we move to 3 half days…e.g. Monday-Wednesday 8am-noon (SLAC time). Starting early should be better for east coasters/Europeans and shouldn’t be a problem for SLAC people since they just have to roll out of bed. Going to 3 half days also prevents workshop burnout.

Sound ok?

Thanks, Matt

Hi,

We’ve mentioned this a lot, but this is finally the official announcement for the 2019 Data Analysis Readiness workshop!

Dates: April 7-8

Times: 9am-5pm (SLAC time)

Where: everywhere (we’ll have a room at SLAC)

The agenda is still up in the air a bit, but here’s a quick rundown of what we should discuss:

  * Detector calibrations and alignment: where we stand, what we need to do
  * Simulation for 2019: hopefully we have some for meeting prep; where do we need to improve
  * Changes in reconstruction: status and performance comparisons (if available)
  * Current, preliminary performance metrics: resolution, efficiency, rates (compare with 2016 and MC if available)
  * What we need for jeopardy
  *   …probably other stuff I’m missing…

We’ll discuss some more details on this at Tuesday’s analysis meeting.

I’ll get an Indico page set up in the next few weeks. If you are planning the trip to SLAC, let me know so I can make sure we have a big enough room.

Thanks, Matt
