[Hps] [Jlab-scicomp-briefs] JLab Tape Library Repair Update - Dec 7, 2022

The tape library will remain out of service until tomorrow.

The technician arrived this morning and a repair attempt was made. It was determined that additional components were needed. The issue has been escalated and parts are being shipped overnight to continue the work tomorrow.

There is sufficient data center disk space to buffer data from the running experiments for several days, and the farm remains busy with disk-based work.

We will provide the next update tomorrow. Thank you for your patience, and please contact us with any questions.
