[Jlab-scicomp-briefs] Interactive node reboots during scheduled IT maintenance Tue 2/24/15 5-10pm

JLab Scientific Computing Users,

The ifarm and ifarm65 interactive farm nodes will be rebooted during the scheduled IT maintenance period on Tuesday Feb 24 from 5-10pm, to apply the latest glibc patch. We will also remove ifarm1102 from the ifarm.jlab.org alias so that it can be upgraded from CentOS 6.2 to 6.5;  it will then become part of the ifarm65.jlab.org alias pool (which currently includes only the ifarm1401 Haswell interactive node).

Additionally, several /work areas will also be relocated to a new fileserver as planned:

/work/halla/g2p
/work/hallb/hps
/work/clas/clasg12
/work/hallc/qweak
