HPC clusters will be restored to service at start of business Wednesday morning.
ENP farm systems will remain unavailable Wednesday morning, to upgrade database server hardware , and will be restored to service as the database work completes by midday.
Regards,
Sandy

SUBJECT: JLab Power Outage Planned for May 8; No Building Access During Outage
CONTACT: Paul Powers, x7258, powersp at jlab.org
On May 8, Facilities Management & Logistics personnel will test oil-filled transformers affecting buildings on the Jefferson Lab Campus. Power to the affected buildings will be turned off promptly at 5:30 p.m. and is expected to be turned back on at 3:30 a.m. All building occupants are required to leave these buildings no later than 5 p.m. on May 8 and may not re-enter the buildings until the power has been restored.
These buildings will be affected:
• CEBAF Center (Bldg. 12)
• Experimental Equipment Lab (Bldg. 90)
• TED (Bldg. 55)
• Central Chiller (Bldg. 60)
Core Computing in CEBAF Center will not be affected, because it is on an emergency generator and is cooled separately.
All facilities that rely on the Central Chiller for Chilled Water should secure their equipment before 5 p.m. on May 8 to prevent overheating. This applies to the following buildings:
• Accelerator Site Service Buildings
• CEBAF Center Data Center
• Experimental Equipment Lab (Bldg. 90)
• Test Lab (Bldg. 58)
If you have any questions about this work or its impacts, contact Paul Powers at ext. 7258 or powersp at jlab.org.
