[Jlab-scicomp-briefs] Planned Move of several /work Areas to ceph24 (Maintenance Day – March 17)

During the upcoming maintenance day on Tuesday, March 17, several /work areas will be moved to ceph24.
The following directories are included in this migration:

  *   Lqcdpheno

  *   EicCrabNoise

  *   bubble

  *   casa

  *   cfdfac

  *   detimg

  *   peppo

  *   radcon

  *   stride

During the migration, these directories will be temporarily set to read-only (expected to be less than two hours). Once the move is complete, they will be available again at their new location.
Please ensure that you access these areas using the /work/... path rather than /w/....
Important: Using the /work/... path is strongly recommended. This allows underlying storage systems to change without impacting workflows or scripts. Using alternative paths such as /w/... may lead to broken workflows as filesystems are migrated or updated.
After the move, these directories will be accessible only from the Farm. If this may affect your work, or if you have any questions or concerns, please let us know (helpdesk at jlab.org).
