Dear Colleagues:
The nuclear theory group at MIT expects to have an opening for one or
more postdoctoral positions starting in the fall of 2017 that we would
like you to bring to the attention of suitably qualified candidates. The
research interests of our group are centered around QCD, with emphases
that include lattice gauge theory, chiral perturbation theory, hadron
structure, factorization, effective theories, heavy quark physics, jet
physics, quark-gluon plasma, the phase diagram of QCD, connections to
string theory, and QCD at high density. Our group includes Will Detmold,
Bill Donnelly, John Negele, Krishna Rajagopal, Iain Stewart, as well as
several postdocs and visitors. We also interact strongly with our
particle theory colleagues, among whom Bob Jaffe, Hong Liu, Tracy
Slatyer, Jesse Thaler, and Frank Wilczek have particularly strongly
overlapping interests. Candidates should apply for the position at:
https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/7971
Applications should include a CV, a statement of research interests, a
list of publications and arrange for at least three senior physicists to
upload letters of recommendation. MIT is an affirmative action, equal
opportunity employer. We should receive completed applications,
including all letters of recommendation, before December 1, 2016.
Best regards,
Will Detmold
