Precision Studies in Parity-Violating Asymmetry
and Strong Coupling: Insights from MOLLER and EIC

Abstract:

Precision experiments are essential for testing the limits of the Standard Model and revealing potential signs of new physics. The MOLLER experiment at Jefferson Lab aims to measure the parity-violating asymmetry in electron-electron scattering with unprecedented precision, providing new insight into the weak charge of the electron.
In this talk, I will present my contributions to the MOLLER experiment, focusing on the key experimental challenges in achieving this level of precision. These include detailed GEANT4 simulations for radiation shielding and background analysis, as well as the deconvolution techniques employed to extract the signal asymmetry.
Additionally, I will highlight collaborative efforts in extracting the strong coupling, αs, using Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS) data from HERA combined with simulated data from the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC). Leveraging the xFitter framework, this work aims to push the boundaries of QCD precision and deepen our understanding of hadron structure and strong force dynamics.
