[Jlab_cc] **New PCard Policies and Procedures effective 10/1**

Good afternoon,

As most of you are aware, the new PCard policies and procedures take effect today. You can find the new policies and procedures at: https://misportal.jlab.org/creditCard/main/purchase_card_procedures. We wanted to send out a friendly reminder of some key changes:


1.       You will need to submit a PCard PR for all purchases to obtain approval BEFORE placing your PCard order. Keep in mind, all purchases require 3 quotes. You can attach the 3 quotes to the PR for your AO to review/approve, and these attachments will be automatically attached to your credit card entry once Phase II has been implemented in the next couple of weeks. A credit card entry cannot be created/saved without an approved PR#. There is a link on the PR to review the unauthorized/restricted items list.



2.       Review the Unauthorized / Restricted Item lists. We have attached the document for reference.

a.       Ecommerce - anything that can be ordered through Ecommerce is unauthorized on the PCard. Please utilize the Ecommerce Punch Out (https://misportal.jlab.org/punchout/index.jsf). If there is not a catalog for the vendor you are looking for, please email GSS at jlab at govsci.com<mailto:jlab at govsci.com> for assistance. They are able to source vendors that do not have a catalog, such as McMaster-Carr and Amazon.

b.       If you are unsure if an item is allowed, reach out to Barbara Rice and Brittany Dennis for assistance.



3.       To review the recording of the PCard event held on 9/17 and/or to review the list of Frequently Asked Questions, please visit https://www.jlab.org/memo/upcoming-changes-jlabs-p-card-program-0.
