Dear Colleagues
We are proud to announce the 2018 JSA/HUGS International Fellowship for
Graduate Students in Developing Countries supported by the JSA
Initiatives Fund http://www.jsallc.org/IF/IFIndex.html and US Department
of Energyhttps://energy.gov <https://energy.gov/>. This is the 4th
edition of this program and under this fellowship we will be able to
support the participation of up to two graduate students from developing
countries who are well into their PhD dissertation research project to
the 2018 Hampton University Graduate Summer (HUGS) program.
HUGS 2018 is a summer school designed for experimental and theoretical
nuclear and particle physics graduate students who have finished their
coursework and have at least one year of research experience in these
fields. The school will run in June, 2018. Information on past editions
of the school can be found at https://www.jlab.org/hugs/
The fellowship will fully cover travel expenses (including international
airfare), room, and board. An additional visit of 1 or 2 weeks to
Jefferson Lab may be possible, depending on funding, to meet with the
laboratory researchers and users, and to initiate or strengthen a
research collaboration. This visit will be discussed with the selected
candidates, and is subject to availability of funds. For more
