Hi Wes,
Yes, you definitely need "ENVS.bash"
Cheers,
Ernest

"You will just need to type bash and you are off to the races."
Not for non-laci users. The part missing looks to be that you guys are sourcing the /usr/local/lcls/tools/script/ENVS.bash in the laci account.
That looks to be the part I needed.
Wesley

Hi Wes,
We do not support tcsh.
Our standard here is bash.
Please use our environment when working on the teststand.
You will just need to type bash and you are off to the races.
Cheers,
Ernest

This might fold back to the environment questions that weren't answered. PATH isn't getting set correctly for non-SLAC users. Do you guys have the tcsh equivalent for the bashrc that you guys are using? We need to get the correct setup in at a system level, not in individual logins.

Hi Wesley,
You should be able to use edm directly:
edm &
File > New
or better yet, start with a screen you like as a template:
cp favorite_display.edl new_display.edl
edm new_display.edl &
Let me know if you have more issues/questions.
Once you have displays, we should talk about how to integrate them into
our file structure and lerfhome.
