[Moller] MOLLER update

Dear MOLLER collaborator:

I am writing to update you on a few developments regarding the MOLLER experiment. As many of you are aware, we have continued to make progress on the design of the spectrometer, improvements to the cost estimate, simulations, and the design of the main integrating detectors. Here are four important announcements.

1) The tentative date for the next collaboration meeting is Thursday/Friday May 8/9 at JLab. It remains tentative for the moment due to a potential schedule conflict with a MOLLER science review (see below). I will follow this up with a confirmation in the next week or two.

2) The office of Nuclear Physics at DOE has initiated a dialog with us to carry out a science review of the MOLLER project. The parameters of this review, and the date, are still under discussion.

3) We have codified an aspect of the MOLLER management structure that has long been implicit: Mark Pitt was unanimously elected Chair of the MOLLER Executive Board (EB) in a recent meeting of the EB and is designated the Deputy Spokesperson.

4) We have completed a draft of an updated version of the MIE proposal. It contains several new appendices reflecting work that has been done over the past couple of years. The introduction and motivation have been rewritten to reflect recent developments and new theory papers. I have updated the author list according to feedback I solicited in December '13 from all institutional contacts in the original proposal. Please check it for errors and omissions. If I did not receive feedback from the institutional contact directly, you might find some omissions with respect to the original MIE proposal of September 2011. I am happy to correct such omissions if you send email to me. The current draft can be found at the following link:
