[Moller] [EXTERNAL] MOLLER reviews update

Dear MOLLER collaborators:

We are writing to update you on preparations for two upcoming reviews, 
one for the DOE project and one for an NSF mid-scale proposal.

First, we now have the final report from the recently completed 
Director’s Review. Their primary recommendation is for us to proceed to 
the DOE OPA review as soon as possible. The final dates for this review 
are October 13-15.  Attached is a DRAFT agenda for this review.

Thanks to everyone for the tremendous amount of work that got us to this 
point; we are in great shape heading towards this CD-1 review and we are 
planning under the assumption that we will be operating with CD-1 
approval before the end of the calendar year.

Second, a subgroup of PI’s are gearing up for an NSF project review for 
a Physics Midscale proposal (~ 6M$) that we put in last December. If 
funded, this will bring NSF funding to the construction of significant 
portions of the MOLLER detectors and the DAQ system. This review talks 
place on October 22-23. We are working closely with Jim Fast to clarify 
which parts of the DOE project are to be separately funded should the 
outcome of the review be positive.
