[Moller_intdet] [EXTERNAL] Main Detector Work Schedule

Hello,

Attached is a more accurate high level schedule for the main detector 
package, which includes the shower max and thin quartz detectors.
This schedule takes into account the most important milestones laid out 
in the MOLLER base line schedule, as forwarded by Jim (but please
let me know if something is horribly wrong). I have filled in the 
various main work steps between the important dates (which are mostly
associated with the major procurement times and the 60% and 90% 
reviews), but these are only roughly consistent with the baseline
schedule.

I want to apologize for the somewhat heated discussion yesterday. It was 
probably caused by my poor communication style more than anything
else, but I was a little surprised by the controversy over the detector 
tiling.

During the forum last week, we were told that the spectrometer design 
had progressed to a stage, such that it was okay for us to move ahead with
the detector tiling and I acted on that statement. It should not be 
controversial to say that the position and size of the detector active area
must be fixed before we start to order a (not so cheap and large) set of 
quartz tiles to build the (likely final) set of prototypes for all 
rings. This
has nothing to do with the ability to parameterize the dimensions in a 
simulation or CAD; at that point we are past that stage.

I want to stress again: If we are held to the base line schedule (and I 
assume there is no float - at least I was not told that there is), then 
there is
no time to loose. Looking at the schedule, you can see that a lot of 
work is crammed into the next 12 months ...
